BASEstar Open and Siemens Simatic PLC?

The Question is:

 
Now we connect VAX statio with Simatic S5 PLC.
We want change  Simatic S5 to Simatic S7 PLC.
What software we need will be useed and buy for  connect PLC and VAX   ? (We
 used BASEstar Open + DCM)

The Answer is :

 
  The OpenVMS Wizard would check both with the vendor of the PLC or
  directly wwith Siemens Simatic, and with the BASEstar package
  hardware support listings.  The Siemens Simatic does not appear
  to be formally and directly supported with BASEstar Open, though
  there does appear to be at least one third-party connection for
  the Siemens MPI adapter connection and BASEstar Open via EIA485
  (RS485) multidrop.
