AUTOGEN, MODPARAMS.DAT, and duplicates?

The Question is:

 
In the file MODPARAMS.DAT if an item is entered twice, which value prevails.
 

The Answer is :

 
  The last matching entry located is the one used.
 
  There is an obvious test to determine the particular behaviour
  of AUTOGEN here, too, of course.  (AUTOGEN will typically write
  a diagnostic into its report file for duplicates, as well.)
