The Question is:
We have a system running decwindows on vms5.52H4. The users at a particular
site are finding that the mice aren't visible or responsive enough for them -
so I want to change the mouse cursor & increase the mouse resolution.
Found answer to mouse cursor in Q1469, but can't find any info on changing
mouse resolution
The common desktop provides a gui utility to change resolution, but
unfortunately, we're not using the desktop (it's a custom app).
Do you know where the mouse resolution settings are stored (in a .com file
somewhere) so we can change resolution directly without using the desktop util.
Thanks for your help
The Answer is :
Please contact the customer support centre, as details of the
particular DECwindows version, the monitors, the application(s)
involved, and the issues around the mouse pointer will be of
central interest here.
What was posted in (1469) is not specific to CDE, and should
work with DECwindows Motif. As for which pointer cursor the
application chooses to use, that is another matter entirely.
The brute-force approach would involve a larger monitor.
