The Question is:
Is there a way to implement Microsoft .NET (and thus C#) on OpenVMS? The HP
web page listing COM and Bridgeworks for OpenVMS does not make this clear.
The Answer is :
The OpenVMS Wizard is not aware of a port of the Microsoft .Net and
C## environments for OpenVMS, though there is or was at least one
open-source effort (the Mono project) underway in this general area.
The OpenVMS Wizard is not aware of a Mono port for OpenVMS.
You may wish to choose a more portable environment, possibly including
languages such as C++, Java, Python, Perl or such. Ports of these
are available on a wide variety of platforms, including OpenVMS.
