GOLD (PF1) and BLUE (PF4) Keys?

» close window

The Question is:

How did the GOLD-key gets its name?

The Answer is :

The PF1 key was literally a gold-colored key on various of the
word-processing (WPS) keyboards -- many of the early keyboards
had WPS variants. On these keyboards, the PF4 key was colored
blue, hence you will also occasionally hear of references to
  the blue key.
