DECwindows and Matrox Graphics Controller?

The Question is:

 
I have an alpha Station 250 4/266 and it has a matrox video card . I can't seem
 to get dec windows running. It says that it doesnt find a video adapter. I run
 autogen and Lic are set.
I wouldn't know how to set up the video card.
Please help

The Answer is :

 
  No Matrox graphics cards are supported by OpenVMS -- this system was
  apparently originally used for and sold for another operating system.
 
  Please acquire a supported controller -- for systems of this vintage,
  there are various choices -- the PowerStorm 3D30 or 4D20 would be
  among the nicest supported controllers.  Various of the ZLXp series
  graphics controllers are also supported.  (The newest of the graphics
  controllers are not supported on systems of this vintage, given the
  I/O and processor limitations.)
