The Question is:

 
My OS is Open VMS 7.1-1H2.
 
I recently put an HP ProCurve 2626 Switch into my network. Since then the Alpha
 console gives me a Network Login failure:"failure on the back translate
 address request" - when I try to import some information from another server.
 This process has worked f
or years.
 
Is there a setting I can change on the Alpha to accomodate the
 %IPC-E-BCKTRNSFAIL?

  Please also upgrade from this version of OpenVMS Alpha to a more
