The Question is:
Hi wizard,
We have a Compaq AlphaXP900 as a server for a VSAT system and we saw that after
I connect to it several times in Telnet sessions from my PC, the Alpha start
to works slowly. For example, I connect 7 times approximately every day, and
when I try to connect
one more time it takes to much time before the prompt appears, and after the
prompt appears when I execute any command it takes times before the execution
of that command.
This situation stop after I reboot the workstation. I think that for some
reason the telnet session doesn4t close appropriately.
What can i do??

Please ensure you have TCP/IP Services V5.3 with the current ECO,
or later, as a start. Please also ensure you have the mandatory
OpenVMS ECO kits loaded. Then please contact the support center.
(Expect to be encouraged to upgrade to V7.2-2 or later, as well;
to an OpenVMS release with Current Version Support or with Prior
Version Support.)
