Maximum System Disk (Console) Limit?

The Question is:

 
Wisers,
 
I am working for HP partner.
 
Customer has VAX 6620 and 7630 in a CI cluster. Boot disks are behind a HSJ40.
 
Customer needs to purchase new boot disks as they migrate to HSJ52.
 
What is the maximum size for the system (boot) disks in my setup? Customer says
 HP has stated there are some restrictions other than what the VAXen themselves
 support as boot disks.
