Zero/clear/reset TCP/IP Network Counters?

The Question is:

 
Dear Mr./Mrs.,
 
Having problems with retransmits in TCPIP version 5.0A - ECO 2, I would like to
 inverstigate the problem a little further in detail. For that I would like to
 be able to reset the tcp counters to zero. Any idea how I can do that ?

The Answer is :

 
  Please move to a supported release of TCP/IP Services, and
  preferably to V5.3 and ECO, or (as available) later.
 
  For the network-level (NIC) counters, please see the FAQ.
 
  As for the immediate question, there is presently no support
  for zeroing the TCP/IP Services counters available within the
  V5 kernel -- gather a set of values as a baseline, and...
