Is VAXSimplus working with VAX VMS 7.3?
The Answer is :
VAXsimPLUS was retired some years ago, and the OpenVMS Wizard
is unaware of any testing, much less any particular positive or
negative results. (The last VAXsimPLUS testing of any sort that
the OpenVMS Wizard is aware of was associated with Y2K, and was
circa OpenVMS VAX V6.2, and was with VAXsimPLUS V3.2-500.)
DECevent, Compaq Analyze and OpenView are some of the choices
for replacement products, depending on what you are using
VAXsimPLUS for.
You may or may not be successful with the continued use of the
software, assuming that your software services license(s) permits
such use. (The VAXsimPLUS package was generally licensed as part
of a hardware services contract.)
