The Question is:
We are proposing for the construction of an OpenVMS application for the Dutch
Railway organisation that must contain editable businessrules. The client
wants to maintain/change/update the business rules after the final delivery.
In a microsoft environment we would propose to use Bizztalk. I am curious what
kind of EAI products with configurable business rules are available for the
OpenVMS platform. Also sofware development frameworks that support this
functionality are a possibil
ity for constructing this application

Through all the hype, your customer seeks a data-driven environment.
SOAP, XML and various BizTalk components are available on OpenVMS,
as are packages such as Attunity Connect, and distributed and
transaction processing support with DECdtm/XA, and distributed
databases from Oracle and other vendors. These provide the basis
for any data-driven apploication environment.
