Third-party hardware? (IBM LCD Monitor)

The Question is:

 
We have an Alphastation 255/233 with a Powerstorm 3D30 (PBXGB-AA) graphics
 card. We've plugged an IBM 15" flat Screen (9493-AG1) into it and can't get it
 to work. Is there a way of getting it to work ? Or is it a non-starter ?
