The Question is:
I am able to Mount a Linux NFS Server from my OpenVMS NFS client. But when I
attempt to copy files to the mount point or delete files from the mount point
I recieve an error that states:
-RMS-E-WLK, device currently write locked. My question is how can set
permissions or correctly mount the NFS shares without a write locking error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Answer is :
The OpenVMS Wizard is unaware of any previous reports of WLK errors
from the TCP/IP Services NFS client.
The OpenVMS Wizard will assume that the volume has not been mounted
/NOWRITE within OpenVMS NFS client.
Details on configuring the NFS client are in the TCP/IP Services
documentation.
For assistance configuring an NFS server on Linux, please contact
a Linux Wizard -- even assuming sufficient familiarity with Linux
(not a safe assumption!), the OpenVMS Wizard is not in a position
to assist with NFS server configuration, with GID/UID user mapping,
nor with security or file protection settings on a Linux platform.
