The Question is:
There is Vax -4000 node configured with both TCP/IP and DECnet-Plus service in
Ethernet network. There is a cluster of 3 Vax nodes with TCP.IP and
DECnet-plus services. I want to establish DECnet connectivity between the node
and on of the Cluster nodes.
I tried by DEC-register utility with same area and node addresses. It says the
node is not reachable. Tried local-remote node test, it gives error as
"command failed due to process failure, the connection to the remote mirror
failed reason - 32869676. Cou
ld you pls help me out in this regard.
The Answer is :
Please contact the support center, as it would appear that you have
DECnet-Plus configuration problems or network connectivity problems.
The obvious test would involve attempting IP access, to determine
if there is potentially a router or firewall blocking the access.
