how do you close an editing file without saving it?
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  The answer depends greatly on the particular text editor in use.
 
  With the EVE editor (the default editor invoked by the DCL command
  EDIT) and particularly with the default keypad definitions, use the
  DO key (F16) or the PF4 key, and enter the command QUIT.
 
  For HELP within EVE, enter the HELP (F15) key, or press the PF2 key.
