The Question is:
Trying to get Anonymous FTP to work.
Keep getting
%TCPIP-E-FTP_NETERR, I/O error on network device
-SYSTEM-F-REJECT, connect to network object rejected.
Configured Anonymous FTP using TCPIP$CONFIG.
Internet IVP tests in TCPIP$CONFIG pass.
Alpha can PING other machine.
Can't telnet to device.
Device can telnet to alpha.
Device can't ftp to Alpha, Connection refused.
The Answer is :
There is a section on setting up anonymous FTP in the TCP/IP manual.
The OpenVMS Wizard would expect that a logical name that controls the
device and directory access available to the anonymous user is either
missing or misdefined. Again, the TCP/IP management documentation
covers this and other FTP-related considerations.
