The Question is:
Hallo,
In a normal DECTerm i can only enter 256 character per line. If i want to enter
more i will get the Error message:
%RMS-W-TNS, terminator not seen.
Why i cannot extend this limit?

The Answer is :
You have reached the limits of the DCL parsing for the particular command.
Various enhancements to this area of DCL are expected to be included into
OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-2. Specifically, command and component length is to
be extended to 4096 characters, and continuation lines are expected to
permit a maximum of 8192 characters. The length of the particular tokens
within the command is not expected to change from the current 256 character
limit.
