LT and TN devices, LAT and Telnet Printing?

» close window

The Question is:

I am trying to setup a print queue using TCPIP$TELNETSYM. The queue works
fine, but I need to use a LTA device spooled to the queue. The LTA device is
 not responding or working correctly.

The Answer is :

LT-class devices are LAT devices and are accordingly completely
unrelated to IP and to TN-class IP telnet printing.

LT-class devices use the standard OpenVMS print symbiont, not
  the telnet nor lpr/lpd symbionts.
