The Question is:
One of our sister organizations have given us their old microvax 3100-90.
Assuming it has the proper hardware network connectivity can I add this one to
my little network that currently consists of a vax 4100? I don't want a
cluster, just another vax to
use for its disk space and backup devices.

Yes. If your question is how to set up a network, please see the
available DECnet and/or TCP/IP Services product documentation.
The OpenVMS Wizard is not in a position to indicate if this system
is or will be appropriately licensed.
The OpenVMS Wizard would tend to reinstall OpenVMS and the layered
products, rather than committing to a course of system archeology
and incremental configuration remediation.
