The Question is:

 
I have a DEC ALPHAstation 500 running DEC Unix that I want to change over to
 running OpenVMS 6.1-1H2. What must I do to make the switch?
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  Set the SRM console OS_TYPE to VMS, and follow the OpenVMS software
  installation instructions.  The OpenVMS documentation is referenced
  in the OpenVMS FAQ, and is available at the OpenVMS website.
