This would appear to be a bug within telnet. Please consider an
upgrade to a more current release -- as of this writing, TCP/IP
Services V5.3 is the current product release. If you are unable
to upgrade to a more current release (or if the upgrade does not
resolve this), please contact the support center for assistance.
