Accessing Windows Domain?

» close window

The Question is:

Is there an API/Callable library that can be used from OpenVMS to access some
of the NT domain information that Advanced Server can see from within the
"admin" utility (eg. show users, show computers etc).

In particular, we are interested in being able to look up NT user information
(eg. description) from the SAM using a VMS program.

A long shot, but I thought I'd ask.

The Answer is :

You will want to ask the software vendor for access to a network
interface or API to the information you seek, standards-compliant
HTML or SNMP or such such would be obvious approaches.

Advanced Server does not provide any public APIs for accessing
information on a remote Domain Controller.

The SAMBA projects have programs that will communicate with a
Domain Controller, routines that could possibly be ported over
to OpenVMS. And as Advanced Server appears to be a Domain
Controller, these program should also be able to interact with
  an Advanced Server Domain Controller.
