The Question is:
I am looking to add memory to my Alpha 2100A 4/275 server. It currently shows
itself to contain one memory module -- B2021-FA 128 MB (which does not show up
on the systems Supported Options list). What modules can I add to the system
while retaining the
existing module? I am looking to at least double the memory.
The Answer is :
B2021-FA is a module-level indentification code, and is not an
orderable part number. The B2021-FA is associated with a 512MB
memory array.
The three memory part numbers are MS450-BA (only on the
AlphaServer 2100A 4/275), MS451-DA, and MS451-FA, for the B2021-BA
64MB, the B2021-DA 128MB, and the B2021-FA 512MB modules,
respectively.
Please contact your hardware support organization for assistance,
as details on the CPU configuration will be required -- if you
have three or fewer CPU modules, you can have up to four memory
modules in any combination. If you have four CPU modules, you
are limited to combinations of up to two memory modules. Your
hardware service organization can also assist you with ensuring
that the necessary baffles are installed, and the processors and
the memory modules are all installed in the appropriate slots.
