The Question is:
It seems that convert/reclaim is occasionally corrupting indexed files (7.2-1).
Have there been other such reports? I can correct the problem by doing a
"straight" convert, however, I am then left with a file in a less than
desirable state. Also, the m
ethod by which this corruption has been detected is an application crash -
which does not bode well with my users. Do you have any advice?

The Answer is :
The cause and the resolution will require research into the specific
sequence and specific results, and related information such as the
output from ANALYZE/RMS commands and the identifications of the OpenVMS
images involved. Please apply the current ECO kits for OpenVMS and
then please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly.
