Controlling batch logfile output I/O rate?

» close window

The Question is:

When submitting a batch job with a log file to a queue, (nothing special, just
 simple DCL commands). It takes a number of seconds to write anything to the
 log file.
Doing a DIR/SIZE=ALL shows the actual size as zero, but allocated size
 increasing.
Is there any way to control the time it takes to write (or flush) messages to
 the log file?
Thanks,

The Answer is :

    $ HELP SET  OUTPUT_RATE

    Sets the rate at which output is written to a batch job log file.

    For use only within command procedures that are submitted as batch or
    detached jobs.
