Enable and use NTP with OpenVMS?

» close window

The Question is:

Hello,

We use UCX version 4.2
The logical "UCX$NTPD_ENABLE" = ".1.." is available when I enable NTP with
 ucx$config.
But when the system VAX or AXP reboots the logical is vanish.
It comes back when I run ucx$config and enable NTP.

Could You tell me what I done wrong?

The Answer is :

Upgrade your TCP/IP Services version, please -- you will want to
load and use V5.0A with ECO or (better) V5.1 with ECO.

NTP was completely reworked in V5.0 and later, and now works in
conjunction with various OpenVMS timekeeping enhancements.

Please see the OpenVMS FAQ for some additional details.
