VIOC Cache Utilization?

» close window

The Question is:

Ho wdo i get my vms system to use all the cache memory? Below is the curretn
 usage.

Virtual I/O Cache (Kbytes): Total Free In Use
Cache Memory 50000 23752 26248

The Answer is :

The OpenVMS Wizard would not recommend altering the VIOC (VCC)
cache configuration, as determined by AUTOGEN based on FEEDBACK.

You will want to investigate the XFC cache first available with
OpenVMS V7.3 (ECO 2 or later, when available), and you will want
to investigate the I/O subsystem operations and such existing
  mechanisms as global buffers.

Please see the OpenVMS Performance Management documentation for
an introduction into the areas of performance tuning.
