The Question is:

 
Can I redirect the output of the monitor utility to a mailbox?
 

The Answer is :

 
  With OpenVMS V7.3 and later, you can use the newly-added $getrmi
  interface, and write whatever you want into a mailbox.  With
  older releases, you can use the undocumented and unsupported
  exe$getspi interface "underneath" MONITOR.
 
  There is no support to record MONITOR data into a mailbox.
