The Question is:
What is the latest and best version of emacs for OpenVMS? I've tried to
compile the 1928 version and it seems inpossible. I'm ready to pay for a
working copy. (It's not for me, honest, I use EVE.)
The Answer is :
The OpenVMS Wizard does not particularly track open-source ports.
You will want to familiarize yourself with the pointers in the
OpenVMS FAQ, the OpenVMS Freeware, and the available search engines.
If you should find a new tool or a more current copy of a tool than
what is available on the OpenVMS Freeware (for those packages that
are already included on the Freeware), please submit it for inclusion
on a future Freeware distribution.
