Volume shadowing distance limits?

The Question is:

 
Can you use volume shadowing to mirror two set disks connected to two separate
 ALpha systems over a 10 KM distance?
 
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  Assuming the two systems are clustered, yes.
 
  For details of the OpenVMS Cluster distance requirements, please
  see the OpenVMS Cluster Software Product Description (SPD) -- the
  current maximum cluster node separation support limits are rather
  further apart than 10km -- both for the standard clustering and
  for the disaster-tolerant cluster configurations.
