Installing OpenVMS?

The Question is:

 
Hi,
 
i am trying to convert a pre-installed UNIX tru64 on a DS20e to openVms 7.2 I
 am new at this so i don't know where to start. I tried to boot from the
 OpenVMS cd but that does not work.

The Answer is :

 
  Please start by setting the console BOOT_OSTYPE environment variable
  to OpenVMS, and please then follow the steps for the OpenVMS
  installation as documented in the OpenVMS manual.  Pointers to
  the OpenVMS documentation are included in the OpenVMS FAQ.
 
  Please see the section on submitting a question in the OpenVMS
  FAQ, specifically section INTRO5 -- please avoid the use of
  expressions such as "does not work" -- specific details, specific
  commands, specific error messages, and similar are required.
  Unfortunately, the problem space that is covered by "does not work"
