Determining tape drive density?

The Question is:

 
Can VMS set or detect the density of a TLZ88 or TLZ89 tape drive?
 
Alternatively, can these drives be programed to always backup at a pre-selected
 setting.
 

The Answer is :

 
  The OpenVMS Wizard would use the /DENSITY qualifiers throughout.
