The Question is:
Why does it take such a long time to init drives into a new raid set?
Mylex DAC960 RAID
Raid array 200 v3.7 swxcrmgr software on graphics console.
Experience - (2hrs raid 0+1 with 4/4GB drives) and (7hrs with 0+1 on 4/9GB
drives).
Is there a trick to cut down on the init times in the raid array software, or
is this a normalcy with that particular controller.
The Answer is :
Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as additional
information on the SCSI bus configuration, on the RAIDarray
200-series controller and firmware, and on the host system will
be required.
Also, the RAIDarry itself is also rather old storage technology.
