Hi,
 
I'm trying to work with a database from C++( using the cxx tools). Are there
 existing objects which handle the communication? If yes, in which libraries?
 
Also where can I find documentation on C++ and databases?

The Answer is :

 
  Please see the documentation of whichever database package is in use.
  If this is an RMS database, there are various programming examples
  around for C programming -- the OpenVMS Freeware has a variety of
  coding examples in a variety of languages, as does the Compaq Customer
