The Question is:
When booting an as4100 just after the device scan and openvms banner a message
pops up that reads:
ERROR_ROUTINES_1605 MACHINECHECK 660
Memory then dumps and the system reboots. Usually it takes 2 booting attempts
before the operating system finally loads.
Can anyone steer me in a direction on what this means? I've applied an ECO that
seems to deal with the MACHINECHECK message, but can find nothing on the
ERROR-ROUTINES part.

The Answer is :
It would appear that your AlphaServer 4100 series system has a
hardware problem. Please check your error log, and please contact
your hardware support organization for assistance.
