PBXGB: PowerStorm 3D30 settings?

» close window

The Question is:

I have an Alphaserver 2100A 4/275 and am trying to improve the graphics with
the addition of a PBXGB-AA Powerstorm Graphics card. I am having problems
running decwindows motif. It works fine as a console but the motif display
 appears to be badly distorted
 - the only visible thing is the mouse pointer which is approx 20mm accross!.

I have tried the same system disk, graphics card and monitor on an Alphaserver
2000 4/200 and it all works fine.

Do you have any suggestions.

Thank you

The Answer is :

You appear to have a misconfigured or failing graphics controller,
a bad graphics cable, or an incompatible or failing graphics monitor.

Please see the OpenVMS FAQ for information on graphics controllers
  and compatibility.

Please also see the settings for the PowerStorm 3D30 (PBXGB-AA) that
are included in topic (2041) here in Ask The Wizard.
