Errant system boottime value?

» close window

The Question is:

Goodmorning,
We - DOWChemical - have a DEC 3000 - M900 that reported in f$getsyi("boottime")
"17-NOV-1858 00:00:00.00". System time at the moment is 22-FEB-2001 05:45:11.
 Uptime 181 days.

At the lastbootime the where some patchesloaded.
Are those patches on anyway releated to the boottime error ? Or are there other
things happen what I (we) don't know ?

Patches are/where at that time
- ALPY2K02_062 , ALPF11X05_062 , ALPSYSB03_062 , ALPMAIL03_062 , ALPRMS03_062 ,
 UCXALP_EO4042.

Running OpenVMS v6.2-1H3
Oracle v715

Thanks,

The Answer is :

There would appear to be an errant quadword zero in a data cell.

The OpenVMS Wizard is not familiar with previous reports of this
  particular behaviour.

The system uptime is calculated by subtracting the current time
from the boot time -- that your uptime shows as 181 days is thus
  particularly unusual.

Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as research into
your configuration and your hardware will be required.
