DECterm Terminal Answerback Buffer?

The Question is:

 
I'm trying to find a way to set the answerback
in DECWindows (both Motif & X11) permanently.
In Motif I've found where to enter the number
but it always gets cleared after I exit the
DECWindows session.  What am I doing wrong ?

The Answer is :

 
  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as details will
  be required -- the usual spot for setting this is in the DECterm
  options, followed by saving the options.
 
  Alternatively, an entry akin to the following can be added to the
  particular DECW$TERMINAL_DEFAULT.DAT resource file used for the
  particular DECwindows terminal:
 
DECW$TERMINAL.main.terminal.answerbackMessage:  Hello\032
