Setting a cluster disk prefered path?

The Question is:

 
I have a 3 VMS machines in a cluster GS140,GS60E,GS60 running Oracle 8.1.6 and
 2 ra12000 box for disk and i have a volume shadowing between ra12000 boxes for
 all volumes
 
Now i want to static load balance the io between paths.  Can i do
(set dev $1$dga1 path="xxxxx..." /switch)
and will it works for all mahcines or are there any other preferred procedure
 to do it.
