The Question is:
I've got an AlphaStation 250 4/266 with a
DEC VT420 serial console terminal. Although this system would be DECWindows
capable if I had a proper VGA monitor, PS/2 KB and mouse, I don't have those
devices. Even though I've set the WINDOW_SYSTEM parameter in SYSGEN to 0, I
get an error at the end
of system startup about "Can't start DECwindows, please set WINDOW_SYSTEM to 1,
type YES to enter AUTOGEN now..." or something to that effect. I'd prefer NOT
to run DECwindows, how can I avoid this automatic behavior in startup? Thanks!

Add this line to SYLOGICALS.COM:
$ DEFINE/SYSTEM/EXEC DECW$IGNORE_WORKSTATION TRUE
