Multi-host SCSI Enclosure Support?

» close window

The Question is:

Hi;

I am familiar with shared SCSI OpenVMS clusters using FWD controllers (KZPBA)
 and differential BA356 shelves.

Can I use an Alpha LVD controller with either 4200 or 4300 series shelves in a
 similar configuration or is this not supported? This provides universal drive
 compatibility which is a big issue for me. I could not find an specific
 references one way or the
 other.

Any help appreciated.

The Answer is :

  The list of controllers supported for multi-host operations is
  included in the OpenVMS Cluster SPD and the Cluster documentation.

  The OpenVMS Wizard is aware of OpenVMS Cluster multi-host SCSI
  configurations using the "universal" SCSI devices.
