Invalid block/record in BACKUP saveset?

The Question is:

 
Installing the ALPBASR02_071 patch, the installation abort with the errors:
%BACKUP-E-INVBLKSIZE, invalid block size in saveset
%BACKUP-E-INVRECSIZ, invalid record size in saveset
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  The BACKUP saveset has probably lost its file attributes -- was this
  saveset copied through a non-OpenVMS system, or copied via FTP, or
  copied via FTP without using the required Image transfer mode?
 
  Please see the OpenVMS FAQ section entitled "MGMT20. How do I fix a
  corrupt BACKUP saveset?" for information on the typical repair.
