Multi-format CD media?

The Question is:

 
Is there an existing device wich can read multi format of CD-ROM SERVER(even
 Files-11 ODS2)?
 
We have now an InfoServer 1000 using LADCP protocol. Is there a new generation
 using Decnet or TCPIP protocol?
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  There is no particular support for multi-format CD media in OpenVMS,
  though OpenVMS can quite obviously read a variety of formats written
  to CD-ROM media.
 
  OpenVMS Engineering is presently working on an advanced development
  project that will provide LAD support for OpenVMS -- host-based
  InfoServer LAD disk services only, with no tape and no InfoServer
  Scribe (CD-R) planned.  No release date nor any official commitment
  has been announced for this work.
