SMTP headers?

» close window

The Question is:

When SMTP mail is forwarded from an exchange server the VMS mail contains a lot
of information in the header. I believe that this can be stopped by using a
logical on the system but I don't know which logical needs to be defined.
 Help please.

The Answer is :

Please check with your SMTP client Wizard, as OpenVMS does not particularly
add text to the message on transmission -- it does add the SMTP-required
headers to the message, of course. Upon receipt of an SMTP message, OpenVMS
TCP/IP Services does include enough SMTP information into the received message
  to (generally) identify the sender.
