Apache and External Authentication?

The Question is:

 
Is it possible to use OpenVMS' OS authentication in the Apache Web Server
 Version 1.3.12 for OpenVMS Alpha?

The Answer is :

 
  As of this writing, the OpenVMS external authentication API is not
  currently documented nor supported.
 
  Once this API is documented, anyone with access to the Apache source
  code can conceivably add this support -- Compaq is aware of requests
  for this support, and will consider its inclusion into a future version
  of Apache for OpenVMS; once the API is available, of course.
