The Question is:
Why does Pathworks go down between 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM everytday.
When try to connec to shares get:
"No Host Found" message.
At $ prompt either on client or at server terminal have to :
pw stop
pw start
Then I can connect to shares again.
Server is Alpha and workstations are NT
The Answer is :
Interesting -- this does not initially appear to have anything to do with
PATHWORKS, as local PATHWORKS (Advanced Server) operations are 24x7.
Is somebody unplugging something, shutting something down, or otherwise
disturbing the local PATHWORKS or network environment?
If this is something specific to PATHWORKS, please contact the Compaq
Customer Support Center, as the contents of the log files will be of interest.
