TCP/IP IP domain name configuration? (SMTP)

» close window

The Question is:

Dear Sir,

For the purpose of reporting from VMS systems, we are sending a VMS mail using
SMTP to list of people using MS Outlook.

The problem arises when they receive the mail and try to reply back. The
sender's address is omitting the node name , i.e. only consists of the
 user@domain-name.
Is there anything we can do about this in the SMTP setup?
We are using TCPIP services version 5.0A.

Thanks.

Regards, VZ

The Answer is :

Please follow the TCPIP$CONFIG process for configuring your node's
name and domain -- details on the configuration process are included
in the TCP/IP Services Manuals. (It would appear that no domain was
  configured for this node.)
