The Question is:
We have installed in one alpha machine running with open VMS version
7.2-1 one HP laserjet 8000.
The machine not print files with one page and files withe more space
the last page of it isn't printed too.
The tcpip version is 5.0.a and the firmware printer is
19990910 mb.52

The Answer is :
Please first telnet directly to the printer, and try entering various
commands directly. (Topics (1020) and (1566) have some directions on
how to to this.)
Please then try a printer other than the HP LaserJet 8000, to determine
if there are problems with the particular printer or differences with
the particular printer interface.
The folks at HP will know if the HP LaserJet 8000 firmware revision
"19990910 mb.52" is the current and most appropriate revision.
The OpenVMS Wizard is aware of problems with HP 8000 firmware older than
"19980610 MB4.28" -- the problem is apparently similar to what was seen
with the older HP 4000 series firmware.
Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance setting
up OpenVMS and TCP/IP Services, and please contact the third-party vendor
(HP) for assistance with the particular printer.
