Remote (Served) Storage Access? (tape)

The Question is:

 
I have two systems , Alpha 4100 and MicroVax 3190 , both running Openvms 6.2 ,
 connected with DECnet.
Can I use the TLZ10 tape drive on the alpha system to backup the microvax data .

The Answer is :

 
  Yes.  The usual approach is via an OpenVMS Cluster (as unlike "clustering"
  on various other platforms, full sharing and remote storage access is the
  default for OpenVMS), though other network-based remote storage access
  alternatives are available -- please see the OpenVMS FAQ for one such
  alternative, and see the SLS and Archive BACKUP packages for others.
